CRANE HIRE — QUICKSILVALIFT

CRANE TRUCK HIRE

Versatile crane trucks for delivery and placement of materials, equipment and prefabricated components. Transport and lift in one operation.

WHAT IS A CRANE TRUCK?

A crane truck combines a cargo body with a hydraulic crane mounted on the chassis, allowing materials to be transported and offloaded at the delivery point without a separate crane on site. This makes crane trucks one of the most cost-effective and versatile lifting solutions for construction projects.

QuickSILVALIFT crane trucks handle delivery and placement of building materials, prefabricated components, containers, mechanical equipment and any load that needs to be transported and precisely placed.

ADVANTAGES OF CRANE TRUCKS

One vehicle handles both transport and lifting, reducing hire costs. No need for a separate crane on site for lighter lifts. Crane trucks can access sites that larger mobile cranes cannot. Faster setup and completion compared to separate transport and crane operations.

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

All operations are planned and executed in compliance with South African SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) legislation. Our operators hold the relevant competency certifications.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Yes. QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire offers an operator with both wet hire (machine plus fuel) and dry hire (machine only). All our operators are fully certified and experienced across residential, commercial and infrastructure sites.

On a wet hire the hire will include fuel. Dry hire means you supply your own fuel on a hire. Wet hire is the most popular option for contractors who want a turnkey solution.

We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance for our plant hire equipment. For larger excavators or peak periods, a week’s notice ensures availability. Emergency and shutdown work is available 24/7 — call us directly.

Crane truck lifting capacity depends on the specific unit and the radius of the lift. Typical crane trucks handle loads from 2 to 15 tonnes at close radius. For heavier lifts, a dedicated mobile crane from QuickSILVALIFT is the better option. Our team will confirm whether a crane truck suits your load requirements.

Use a crane truck when the load needs to be both transported and placed, and the weight is within the crane truck’s capacity. This saves hiring separate transport and a crane. For heavier loads, precision lifts or complex rigging, a dedicated mobile crane provides more capacity and control.

Yes. Crane trucks are road-legal vehicles that can navigate standard residential streets and access sites that larger mobile cranes cannot reach. They are commonly used for residential construction deliveries, container placement and building material offloading in suburban areas across Cape Town and the Western Cape.
