PLANT HIRE — QUICKSILVA PLANTRANZ HIRE

TIPPER HIRE

Transport and offload bulk materials on construction sites. 10m³ and 15m³ tippers available across the Western Cape and Northern Cape.

WHAT IS A TIPPER?

Tippers (dump trucks) transport and offload bulk materials at construction sites. The hydraulic tipping body allows quick, controlled discharge of materials — making tippers essential for any project involving earthmoving, aggregate supply or spoil removal.

QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire operates 10m³ and 15m³ tippers. The 10m³ is suited for standard construction sites and residential work, while the 15m³ handles larger volumes on civil infrastructure and commercial projects.

HOW ARE TIPPERS USED?

Tippers are used for removing excavated spoil from construction sites; delivering aggregate, sand and building materials; earthworks material transport; quarry operations and material haulage; construction site cleanup and waste removal; and road construction material delivery.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Yes. QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire offers both operators for both wet hire and dry hire. All our operators are fully certified and experienced across residential, commercial and infrastructure sites.

On a wet hire the hire will include fuel. Dry hire means you supply your own fuel on a hire. Wet hire is the most popular option for contractors who want a turnkey solution.

We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance for our plant hire equipment. For larger excavators or peak periods, a week’s notice ensures availability. Emergency and shutdown work is available 24/7 — call us directly.

For residential site clearance, a 10m³ tipper is typically sufficient. For commercial or civil projects generating larger volumes of spoil, the 15m³ tipper is more efficient. For very large earthworks projects, ADTs (Articulated Dump Trucks) offer higher capacity and off-road capability. Our team can recommend the right combination.

Standard tippers are designed for public roads and hard-standing areas on construction sites. For rough terrain, unpaved mine access roads and off-road conditions, an ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) is the better choice. QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire offers both tippers and ADTs across the Western Cape and Northern Cape.

A tipper is a rigid-frame truck designed for paved roads and hard surfaces. An ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) has an articulated chassis that allows it to navigate rough, soft and uneven terrain. If your material needs to move on soft ground, muddy sites or steep gradients, an ADT is the right choice.
