WHAT IS AN ADT?

Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) are large off-road haulers designed for moving bulk material over rough, soft and uneven terrain. The articulated chassis allows the truck to flex and maintain traction on gradients and in muddy conditions where rigid tippers would struggle or become stuck.

QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire operates 20T, 25T and 30T ADTs, covering mid-range earthworks through to large-scale civil infrastructure and mining support operations across the Western Cape and Northern Cape.

QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire offers both wet and dry hire rates for water trucks. Wet hire includes a certified operator and fuel. Dry hire includes the operator and you supply your own fuel. All our ADTs come with a qualified operator as standard. We offer day hire, weekly hire, monthly hire and long-term contract rates. Shutdown and emergency work is available 24/7/365.

Yes. QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire offers both operators for both wet hire and dry hire. All our operators are fully certified and experienced across residential, commercial and infrastructure sites.

On a wet hire the hire will include fuel. Dry hire means you supply your own fuel on a hire. Wet hire is the most popular option for contractors who want a turnkey solution.

We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance for our plant hire equipment. For larger excavators or peak periods, a week’s notice ensures availability. Emergency and shutdown work is available 24/7 — call us directly.

QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire offers ADTs in 20-tonne, 25-tonne and 30-tonne payload capacities. The right size depends on your project volume and site conditions. Our team can recommend the optimal ADT size based on your material quantities and haul distances.

Use an ADT when your material needs to travel over unpaved roads, soft ground, steep gradients or muddy conditions. ADTs are designed for off-road performance where rigid tippers cannot operate safely or efficiently. If your site has good road access and hard-standing, a standard tipper may be more cost-effective.

Yes. QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire services both the Western Cape and Northern Cape. ADTs are commonly deployed to mining operations, solar farm construction and civil infrastructure projects in the Northern Cape. Our heavy haulage division handles delivery of ADTs to site.
