PLANT HIRE — QUICKSILVA PLANTRANZ HIRE

TELEHANDLER HIRE

Versatile telescopic handlers for material placement at height. 4-tonne capacity with 17-metre reach across the Western Cape and Northern Cape.

WHAT IS A TELEHANDLER?

A telehandler (telescopic handler) combines the features of a forklift truck and a crane into one all-terrain vehicle. The telescopic boom can extend forward and upward, allowing material placement at heights and reaches that a standard forklift cannot achieve.

QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire operates 4-tonne / 17-metre telehandlers — providing the reach and capacity needed for construction, agricultural and warehouse applications across the Western Cape and Northern Cape.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Yes. QuickSILVA PlanTranz Hire offers an operator with both wet hire (machine plus fuel) and dry hire (machine only). All our operators are fully certified and experienced across residential, commercial and infrastructure sites.

On a wet hire the hire will include fuel. Dry hire means you supply your own fuel on a hire. Wet hire is the most popular option for contractors who want a turnkey solution.

We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance for our plant hire equipment. For larger excavators or peak periods, a week’s notice ensures availability. Emergency and shutdown work is available 24/7 — call us directly.

Our telehandlers have a 4-tonne lift capacity at ground level. As the boom extends, the safe working load decreases according to the load chart. Typical loads include pallets of building materials, roof trusses, steel beams, concrete blocks and agricultural bales. Our operators are trained to work within the machine’s safe working load at all reach positions.

Telehandlers are more versatile and mobile than cranes for lighter loads at moderate heights. They can drive across a site, pick up a load and place it at height in one operation. For heavy lifts, precision placement or heights above 17 metres, a mobile crane from QuickSILVALIFT is the better choice. Our team can advise on the right machine for your project.

Yes. Telehandlers are designed as all-terrain machines with four-wheel drive and high ground clearance. They handle the rough, uneven conditions typical of Western Cape construction sites.
